Huw and Sally used to own and run the Trengilly Wartha Inn, Constantine, which is where Huw’s passion for keeping pigs and and producing top quality sausages began and the famous “Trengilly sausage” was created.

In 1990 they opened Merrivale Charcuterie, a delicatessen in Truro, selling the sausages, hams, salami and bacon. In 1991, Huw’s garlic and herb sausage won the Guardian Newspapers’s first ‘Sausage Quest’ competition and their range of products also earned a coveted entry in Henrietta Green’s ‘Food Lovers Guide to Britain’ as the ‘Best Sausages’.

They now run Their Charcuturie from Rowan Barn offering the same quality produce and are also in the process of starting their very own butchery Classes from the barn's well equiped on site butchery...
